Tagging

• Highway Tag Africa OSM wiki page   I drafted the first version of this wiki page to respond adequately to the Mali OSM Response in early 2013. Project instructions to contributors in Africa and elsewhere often refer to this wiki page. The goal is to use the highway tag to classify the roads based on their socio-economic importance. Other tags are to be used to take account of surface, condition, practicability, saisonnality etc.
